Day 8: Election Day and the Mustard Seed

Today is Election Day!  After a pretty nasty campaign, it all ends tonight. I voted in the early election voting period.

I have a firm belief that no matter who you want to win, we will still be OK as long as you have faith in a higher power.

Ironically, my husband cooked the last blue apron meal (it was delicious by the way) and I noticed it had little crunchy things on it. I’m a pretty picky eater so I immediately asked, “what are these little circles in the beets?” He replied,” mustard seeds. You know, how much faith we need.”

I was amazed at just how little a mustard seed is. I’ve seen pictures but never held or tasted one. That got me to thinking, if we only need the faith of a mustard seed to accomplish our goals or move mountains, I think we can “muster” up enough faith to get through this Election.

No matter who we elect for president, in my world, God is king.

Don’t get too wrapped up in the hype and don’t take tomorrow’s anxiety for today. Stay in faith. How are you handling pre-election anxiety?

May the odds ever be in our favor,
