How true is this?
As a new mom, I often think of the example My husband and I will be for my son. Kids are always watching. Always learning. Always adapting. Let’s be examples of love and happiness and trustworthiness and honesty and joy.
To quote Whitney Houston, ” I believe the children are our future. Teach them well and let them lead the way. Show them all the beauty the possess inside. Give them a sense of pride. To make it easier. Let the children’s laughter remind us how it used to be.” Those may not be the words -ha ha- I wrote them from memory. It’s a random fact that I know 95% of the lyrics of any song I’ve heard.
Anyway, let’s pray for the upcoming generation and lead by example. They deserve it… and so do we!
Share joy,
The Midnight Beauty
It certainly IS true that “Children Learn What They Live”! We see it everyday. Children who have been raised in negative environments have such different reactions and attitudes. And it is sad for them. They are responding to what they’ve seen and been taught. Conversely, children who are surrounded by loving examples seem to have so much more confidence and positive attitudes.
We don’t think about the fact that children grow up. They become the adults we complain about or admire. We cannot relive our childhood, but we can try our best to figure out why we behave in a negative manner. Then we should forgive those who hurt us or taught us to be so negative. Next we should remember all of the positive things we learned and blessings from God. Maybe then we can truly offer our children our best selves.
None of us are perfect. We will make mistakes. But we need to do just like you said, remember, our children are watching. You are so right! Model good behavior. Be sincere. Pray everyday for guidance. Teach our children to pray. And live. Their futures and ours depend on it!
