Have you ever noticed that we are always “looking forward” to something? It seems that there is always something far in the distance that deserves more of our time or attention. We rush through today to get to tomorrow but get to tomorrow and rush through that too. I wonder why that is?
Maybe we think satisfaction lies somewhere external of our control. Maybe we wonder if we have what it takes to truly be happy. Whatever it is, I think we should spend more time cultivating joy where we are rather than looking for it elsewhere.
So let’s get rid of this Destination Addiction and learn to take our lives one beautiful day at a time… even when the beauty of the day is not always readily apparent.
Live slowly,
The Midnight Beauty
I love this concept! “Destination Addiction” we truly do need to slow down and enjoy each moment. Thanks for the reminder. 😄
