A NEW challenge or two

imageHaving a baby definitely changes things. Your body,  priorities, likes/dislikes, hobbies, level of exhaustion, and level of joy all change the moment you give that final PUSH to deliver the new little one into the world. Well not that very moment, but soon after.

I have about 3 weeks until I return to work but want to use each day to the fullest. That’s not always easy to do when you’re sleep deprived and breast-feeding every few hours to try and nourish your child. Not complaining. Just saying I have to get better at strategizing and juggling my time. Truly, I think I’m doing pretty well considering it’s only been 2 months! 🙂

My husband and I have been talking about my desire to write more and spread the message of encouragement and finding joy/happiness despite your life circumstance. We discussed my starting a VLOG or rejuvenating my blog in my “free time” (If I happen to somehow come across an unclaimed treasure trove of unused time). I’m also doing a fitness/nutrition challenge and excited about that as well.

I ordered some eyeglasses in July before I delivered my baby and just got a chance to pick them up today. While in the store, I received an email that said there was a November challenge where you blog every day and potentially win a trip to a BlogHer conference. While I’m not sure if I’ll win the challenge (I mean… that would be amazing), I think it’ll be fun to have something to look forward to that uses my brain in a different way.

So…. I will be posting daily in November for the  BlogHer‘s National Blog Posting Month (NaBloPoMo).

Not sure what the month will bring but I imagine that the blogs will be varied in length and include; Motherhood fails and triumphs, Postpartum fitness attempts, inspiration, random pictures of beautiful things, breastfeeding tips, encouragement and more. I have to imagine some days I may only be able to say “Hi guys! I got 4 hours of sleep last night, see ya  tomorrow”but I hope you will come along for the ride.

Enjoy the rest of October!

Keep smiling,
