I’m a FIRM believer in believing in yourself. I also think we should find some way to stay motivated and stay focused on what is important. That’s why I think this quote is amazing. When YOU believe in the beauty of your dreams, you get the motivation to keep pushing towards what it is you say you want.
I think the degree to which we are willing to PREPARE for our goals, is the degree to which we believe that we really can achieve these things. If you truly thought you were going to meet the man/woman of your dreams soon, you would spend time preparing to be a better spouse. If you truly believed that you could reach your weight loss goals, you might start planning that dream vacation you keep putting off until “later”.

To that I say, DREAM BIG, prepare, and get to work. Life is short. Don’t waste it waiting on “later.” Dream the most beautiful dream you can imagine and BELIEVE YOU CAN ACHIEVE IT! Well, that’s what I intend to do.

The quote about wishing you had started a year ago is so true. We spend so much time focusing on why we can't do something right now. It helps to have a good support system. But, ultimately, we must believe in ourselves just as you said.
